Most accelerators take a company and help it grow. Most founders arriving in Dubai do not have a company yet, and spend their first months on licences, visas and bank appointments instead of on the product. StartHub does both halves: the entity that can sign, hire and receive money, and the support that comes after it.
What that means practically is that the things a young company usually buys separately come from one group. The ERP and accounting it will need at the first invoice. HR and payroll at the first hire. Payments before the bank account exists. The app, if the product is an app, through our sister agency for the Apple, Google and Huawei stores. None of it has to be integrated afterwards, because it was never separate.
The second half — proposals, pitching, introductions and the accelerator programme itself — is the part we are still shaping, and we would rather say that than describe a cohort structure that does not exist yet. If you are talking to us about the accelerator side specifically, ask us directly what is running today and what is planned, and you will get a straight answer.
What is not in doubt is the foundation: a company formed properly in the right jurisdiction, with the right activity codes, that can invoice on day one. Every accelerator relationship worth having assumes that already exists.
What a founder gets from one group
The entity
Formed in the right jurisdiction, with activity codes that will not need amending.
Visas and insurance
Residency for the founders, and the cover the visa requires.
Books from invoice one
iSAP.ONE, set up before trading starts rather than before an audit.
Payments early
Collect through iSAP.Wallet while the corporate bank account is still in compliance.
Product build
Apps for Apple, Google Play and Huawei AppGallery through AppStores.Agency.
Hiring
HR and payroll ready for the first employee, with document expiry watched.
Why Dubai, honestly
100% foreign ownership, no personal income tax, and corporate tax at 9% only above AED 375,000 of taxable profit — which most first-year companies do not reach. That is a real advantage and it is why founders come.
The offsetting reality is setup friction: licences, visa chains and bank compliance take longer than anyone expects, and none of it can be skipped. Removing that friction is the actual service.
The market itself is small but connected — the GCC, South Asia and East Africa are all within a short flight, and a Dubai entity is a credible counterparty in all three.
The accelerator programme is being built out. We describe the formation and platform side as it exists today and will not invent cohorts, funding or demo days. Ask us what is running now.
Questions we get asked
Do you take equity?
Ask us. The accelerator side is being shaped and we are not going to publish a term we have not settled.
Can you help if I already have a company elsewhere?
Yes — that is usually a branch, a subsidiary or a relocation, and which one depends on where you are now.
Do I have to use your software?
No. It is available and it is connected, which makes it cheaper and faster, but formation does not depend on it.
What if my idea needs an app?
Then our sister agency builds and publishes it, on the same timeline as the company. The company has to exist first to hold the developer accounts.
Bring the idea, we will handle the company
Tell us what you want to build. We will answer with the entity you need, the timeline, and a straight account of which parts of the accelerator exist today.
