Health insurance is not optional in the UAE: it is a condition of the residency visa, both for you and for anyone you employ or sponsor. That makes it part of company formation whether you planned for it or not, and it is usually the step that delays a visa file.
iSAP.Life is the group's insurance platform, covering health, motor, home and life. Because we arrange it in the same conversation as your licence and your visa, the cover exists when the immigration file needs it, not two weeks later.
For a founder relocating, the sequence matters more than the product. Medical cover has to be in place for the visa; the visa unlocks the Emirates ID; the Emirates ID unlocks the driving licence, the tenancy contract and the bank account. Getting insurance late does not delay one step, it delays the chain.
What we arrange
Medical cover for visas
For you, your dependants and your employees — the condition the visa file needs.
Team health plans
One plan as you hire, instead of a new negotiation per employee.
Motor
Cover for the car you will buy once the Emirates ID is issued.
Home and contents
For the tenancy contract you sign in the same month.
Life
Where a family or a business partner depends on the founder's income.
One point of contact
The same people handling your licence handle the cover.
Sequencing, which is where founders lose weeks
A residency visa application will not complete without medical insurance for the person being sponsored. Dependants each need their own. If you are moving a family, that is four or five policies, and they gate everything that comes after.
Cover bought at the last minute to unblock a visa is usually the wrong cover and the wrong price. Arranged two weeks earlier, alongside the licence, it is a normal decision made calmly.
We are an agency, not an insurer. What we do is arrange the cover through iSAP.Life and make sure it exists at the point your immigration file needs it.
Insurance is provided through isap.life. StartHub arranges it as part of the formation and visa process.
Questions we get asked
Is health insurance really mandatory?
For residency visas in the UAE, yes — for the visa holder and for each dependant. It is a condition of the file, not a recommendation.
Can I keep my existing international policy?
Sometimes, if it meets local requirements. We check before you rely on it.
Do you insure my employees too?
Yes. As you hire, people are added to a plan rather than negotiated one by one.
What does this cost?
It depends on ages, dependants and the level of cover. We quote on your actual file rather than publishing a number that will not apply to you.
Do not let insurance be the step that delays your visa
Tell us who is moving — you alone, or a family — and how many people you expect to hire. We will sequence the cover with the visa file.
